About the Software and Its Primary Functions

Yield Software by Scientific Visual is a powerful tool for exploring 3D crystal scans. With Yield, you can examine crystals, view defects, and create different coring and wafering configurations all while considering defect impact. It helps you estimate the yield of different coring solutions and assess the quality of the final products.

One of the great features of Yield is that it doesn’t need to be connected to a scanner. You can receive images of crystal scans from your partners or production team on any PC, or share your models with them. After the crystal planning is complete, you can export G-code into a CNC coring or wafering system.

Key Features

  • 3D Model Visualization: View and interact with crystal scans in 3D (SVCM files).

  • 2D Scanner Data: Access 2D views if raw scanner files (SVCI) are available.

  • Defect Clustering: Group and analyze defects with detailed statistics.

  • Defect Grading: Rank defects based on their impact.

  • Model Editing: Easily edit and highlight parts of the 3D model.

  • Coring & Wafering Planning: Set your own parameters to plan the coring and wafering process (limited in the Demo version).

  • Advanced Yield Computation: Perform in-depth yield analysis.

  • Advanced Metrics: Access detailed metrics for better decision-making.

  • Additional Scanning Metadata: View extra data from scans.

Who Is It For?

Yield software is a valuable tool for companies that grow, process, and trade industrial crystals, as well as for those who rely on precise crystal quality for their final products.

Crystal growers will benefit from the ability to monitor and assess the structural integrity of their materials during the growth process. For processors and cutters, Yield supports decision-making by ensuring that each crystal is utilized to its fullest potential, minimizing waste and enhancing productivity.

Traders of industrial crystals also gain from the precise quality control features, allowing them to ensure that their products meet high industry standards. Additionally, the software is beneficial for users of final crystal products who require micrometer precision to guarantee that their materials are suitable for specialized applications in electronics, optics, and other fields.
